This afternoon (in bitter cold, with leftover snow still hanging around) I deadheaded the rest of our flowers and pulled out the annuals. It’s the hard part of gardening. So glad you are hanging around dVerse with your beautiful nature photos and poetry.

Yes, it is with the leaves as the bulbs are smaller. It certainly smells of garlic in the woods. Thanks for your response.

Yes that bloom is something to miss, the garlic in the woods, is something I think we would use in soup.. A true Spring delicacy

Yes, the wild garlic is more mild and the leaves can be used. Not found it where we are in Spain and wet woodlands in the UK.

I agree. I miss the summer blooms, too, especially the iris. I have a Lantana in a pot outside my front door that was gracing us with it’s new blooms until it got cold and rainy about a week ago. I miss it already. Thanks for sharing these poems and beautiful photos. Peace, Linda

Thanks I have a lantana in Spain but think it is too cold there at the moment. Time for plants to rest though! Too much rain though in London.
